Reddit outreach drafts in a plain peer voice
Find the threads where people are discussing your topic, and draft comments and DMs in a plain peer voice. No pitch, no links, and a person reads each one.
What it does on Reddit
- Listening finds posts on your topics and stages them for you to review.
- Comments add a real point in the thread's own register.
- A link in a draft raises a warning, because Reddit communities punish them.
What it can draft
| Type | Length limit we hold it to |
|---|---|
| Chat / DM | 10,000 characters |
| Comment | 10,000 characters |
The limits it starts with
Reddit starts off, and it needs both the account's owner and the person using the extension to turn it on. Then it runs in dry run, which stages the text and stops. An account's default cap is 20 a day and 5 an hour. These are our defaults, not Reddit's numbers.
Reddit's rules
Each subreddit has its own rules, on top of Reddit's sitewide ones, and many don't allow promotion at all. Those rules come first, whatever a tool can do.
