Terms of Service
Programmable, LLC · Programmable Social · last updated October 18, 2026
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Programmable, LLC (“we”, “us”), 3607 10th St NW, Washington, DC 20010, USA, for the use of Programmable Social (the “Service”). Account holders and their teams accept them, together with the Data Processing Addendum (“DPA”), which forms part of them, when they start using the dashboard. If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and “you” means that organisation. You must be at least 18. Section 14 covers people an account talks to through the Service.
2. The Service
The Service helps you keep up with conversations on LinkedIn, Reddit, X, Instagram and TikTok (each a “Platform”): it keeps the conversations your Chrome extension captures, drafts replies, comments and first messages in a sender's voice on your own AI key, lets a person on your team approve them, keeps a do-not-contact list, and runs follow-up sequences, discovery (“Scout”), meeting briefs, exports and webhooks. The Service never sends anything on any Platform itself. The extension, running in a team member's own browser and signed in to their own account on that Platform, is the only thing that does, and only when your account's switches and the extension's own both allow it, for that Platform. Every send switch starts off, and every Platform other than LinkedIn starts off too. What is sent, and when, is your decision and your responsibility.
3. Accounts
- You sign in through the shared Programmable sign-in. Keep your sign-in, your extension keys and your API keys secure; you are responsible for what is done with them and by the team members you add.
- Each team member connects their own extension (with a one-time code from Settings, which gives it an extension key of theirs), and it acts as them with their role on your account. The owner decides who may approve drafts and controls the send switches.
- Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think your account or a key has been misused. Revoke a key you no longer use.
- Give accurate information, and keep your contact email current: we send notices about the Service and these terms there.
4. Your content and your contacts' data
- You keep all rights in what you put into the Service (workspaces, senders' profiles, proof, drafts, notes) and in your contacts' data. You give us a licence to host, copy, process and transmit it only as needed to run the Service for you.
- You confirm you have the rights to what you upload. In particular, you upload a sender's profile (such as their LinkedIn profile PDF), and draft in their name, only with that person's agreement.
- You can export your data at any time, and delete contacts, conversations, drafts or your account. Entries you add to the do-not-contact list stay on it (section 5).
5. Data protection
For your contacts' personal data you are the controller (you decide who to contact and why) and we are your processor, on the terms of the DPA. In particular you agree to:
- Have a lawful basis for the personal data you capture, import or collect, and give people any notice the law requires.
- Contact only people you have a genuine business reason to contact, in line with the laws on unsolicited messages that apply to you (for example CAN-SPAM, CASL, PECR and the GDPR), and honour every request to stop by adding the person to the do-not-contact list.
- Accept that the do-not-contact list is shared across the Service: anyone on it, added by any account, is never drafted for or sent to by yours, and entries are kept after the account that added them closes.
- Not use the Service to collect special categories of personal data (health, religion, sexual orientation and the like), government ID numbers, payment card details or passwords.
6. The Platforms
The Service is not made, endorsed or supported by LinkedIn, Reddit, X, Instagram, TikTok or their operators. Using each Platform is governed by your own agreement with it, and you are responsible for following the terms and policies of each Platform you use (for example LinkedIn's User Agreement, Reddit's User Agreement and its communities' rules, X's Terms of Service and automation rules, Instagram's Terms of Use and TikTok's Terms of Service), including any limits on automation and messaging. Some Platforms, X, Instagram and TikTok in particular, restrict automated messages strictly. The extension acts in your browser, as you, at the pace and within the caps you set; it does not hide what it does from any Platform. A Platform may restrict or close accounts it believes break its rules, and we can't prevent that or be responsible for it. Turn a Platform or sending on only if you accept that risk, and stop if a Platform warns you.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, phishing or deceptive messages, or impersonate anyone; or draft as a sender who hasn't agreed to it.
- Contact anyone on the do-not-contact list, or get around it, the approval step, the caps or any other safety control.
- Harass, threaten or stalk anyone, or send unlawful, infringing, hateful or sexually explicit material.
- Use the Service, or data from it, to make decisions about individuals' eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, housing or similar, or as a consumer report under the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Probe, scan or test the Service's security without our written permission; interfere with its working; get around its limits; or scrape it.
- Resell the Service or use it to build a competing product, except as these terms or a separate agreement allow.
8. Services you connect
You connect your own AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) with your own key, and you may connect programmable.info, your own webhook endpoint and HubSpot. They run on your accounts, at your cost, under their own terms. When you connect one, you tell us to send it the data it needs: for your AI provider, the context of each draft (the workspace, the sender's profile, the contact and the conversation). We aren't responsible for those services, and we may stop supporting one if its provider changes or ends its interface.
9. Drafts, AI output and what you send
Drafts, research, voice descriptions, meeting briefs and Scout's findings come from models and public sources, and can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. Read each draft before you approve it. You are responsible for every message you approve and for every message your extension sends, including those sent under autopilot, sequences or an approval bypass you turned on. The Service never makes decisions about people on its own.
10. Fees
The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you at least 30 days before anything you use stops being free, and nothing is charged without your agreeing to a plan. Services you connect (section 8), including your AI provider, may charge you themselves.
11. Changes to the Service and to these terms
We improve the Service continually, and may add, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you rely on, we will tell you ahead of time where we reasonably can. We will never change a send switch from off to on for you. We may update these terms. For material changes we will tell you by email or in the dashboard, and ask you to accept them before you continue to use the dashboard. Changes don't apply to anything that happened before them.
12. Suspension and ending
- You can stop using the Service at any time, and close your account from Settings (or ask us to, at [email protected]). Closing it turns every send switch off, returns approved drafts to pending, revokes your extension and API keys and cancels any paid plan, at once.
- We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms materially or repeatedly, if your use puts others or the Service at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
- We may end the Service as a whole with at least 60 days' notice.
- When your account ends, you have 30 days to export your data (and, if you closed it yourself, to change your mind). We then delete it, as described in the Privacy Policy and the DPA, except do-not-contact entries. Sections 4 (the licence, until deletion), 9, 13, 15, 16, 17 and 18 survive.
13. Our property
The Service, its software (including the extension) and its design belong to us and our licensors; these terms don't transfer them to you. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
14. If an account talks to you through the Service
You don't need an account, and these terms don't bind you to anything. Messages and comments you receive come from the person who sent them, from their own account on that Platform; we don't send them. To stop being contacted through the Service by any account, write to [email protected] and we will add you to the do-not-contact list. How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy.
15. Disclaimers
We work to keep the Service available and correct, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. So far as the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that using it won't lead a Platform to restrict an account. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that can't be waived.
16. Limits on liability
So far as the law allows: neither side is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data, or for the loss or restriction of an account on any Platform; and each side's total liability arising out of these terms or the Service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. These limits don't apply to your obligations under section 17, to amounts you owe us, or to liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited (such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence).
17. Your responsibility to us
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims, and the resulting losses and reasonable costs, arising from your content, the messages you approve or send, the people you contact and how you use their data, your use of any Platform, or your breach of these terms or of the law. We will tell you promptly about such a claim, let you control its defence, and cooperate reasonably at your cost; you won't settle it in a way that admits fault on our part without our consent.
18. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes go to the courts of the District of Columbia, USA, except that either side may seek urgent relief in any competent court. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law where you live, and can also bring a claim there.
- These terms, the DPA and any order form are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If one part can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part isn't a waiver of it.
- You may not transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them to a successor of our business, and will tell you if we do.
- Neither side is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- Notices to us go to [email protected]. Notices to you go to your account email.
